Amachi Central Kentucky

Our Mission:

Amachi assists children of incarcerated parents in achieving their highest potential by engaging them in consistent and committed mentoring relationships with people of faith and/or good will.

Our Model:

The Amachi program was started in Philadelphia, where over 500 mentoring matches have been approved, working through numerous congregations and organizations. Amachi is now operated in 37 states and 103 cities.

About Amachi and LLF

Amachi Central Kentucky is an initiative of Lexington Leadership Foundation. LLF is a non-profit organization that seeks to build relationships between the communities of need and the communities of resource. Programs are undertaken which focus particularly on the broken, the vulnerable, and the poor. Many churches are adopting the Amachi model as a program and ministry of their congregation.
